Subaru WinterFest 2023 DJ Gig at WoodWard | Recap

Subaru WinterFest returned once again to celebrate people’s love for adventure and all things winter at Woodward Park City. A good friend of mine, Matty Mo, was asked to DJ for most of the event at Woodward. Because he was not able to DJ for the entire event, he asked me if I could fill in for a few of his slots. This was an incredible experience and super fun to say the least! This one-of-a-kind music and mountain lifestyle tour invites skiers, snowboarders, music fans, and dog-lovers to enjoy a weekend of fun and entertainment. The event, presented by Harman Kardon, featured nationally recognized music talent from various genres, including Americana, bluegrass, indie, and electronic music; of course us local DJs also were present to add to the great vibes.
The event also featured the latest gear demos from top brands like Nordica, Thule, Dynamic Wax, and Arbor Collective. Delicious treats, warm beverages, and tasty surprises were provided by Alpine Start and Kate’s Real Food. Klean Kanteen, Terracycle, and Leave No Trace were present to inspire sustainability practices. BarkBox provided a fun dog-friendly experience for dog lovers and their pets throughout. Subaru owners were given VIP treatment and received special gifts while supplies were available. .
Something unique to this festival was Subaru owners receiving VIP Parking if they arrived before the VIP area was full. Throughout the day, participants were given the opportunity to try out the latest gear from Nordica, Arbor, Mammut, and Dynamic Wax. The Wilderness Cafe served coffee from Alpine Start, craft hot cocoa, Kate's Real Food, and Wafels.
The Subaru WinterFest Stoke Patrol gave out some goodies and participants were given the chance to ride inside with Bucky Lasek. They also got to take part in a meet and greet with Bucky Lasek and watch a live performance by DJ Matty Mo, presented by Harman Kardon. Participants could participate in “Create-a-Skate” and paint their own skate deck with the help of a professional artist in the Crow's Nest. There was also a CAWS adoption event presented by the Subaru Loves Promise.
Throughout the day DJ Bradbark provided a live DJ set outside, while Matty Mo entertained the festival goers indoors. The day ended with the Subaru WinterFest daily drawing, where participants had the chance to win over $3,000 worth of outdoor giveaways. The night ended with a live performance by Spazmatics and myself (DJ CAM REEVE) on the main stage. I performed until the doors closed.
If you have never been to WinterFest and are thinking about going don’t sleep on it next time it comes to town. To say it was a blast is an understatement. I think the kiddo’s were having more fun than most of the adults! Completely family friendly with plenty to do, especially when it’s being held at Woodward.
