Rossignol Store Utah Après DJ gig 2023

The Rossignol Store in Park City, Utah recently held an Apres sale at their Pendry location and I was lucky enough to be hired as the DJ for the event. As a lover of all things Apres I was thrilled to have this opportunity to DJ for this Utah Apres DJ event. In the past I’ve worked with companies like Louis Vuttion, Dillards, and others to create a fun experience for their customers, so I was excited to work with Rossignol.
Before I talk about the event, I did some research on Rossignol's history to share with you. The company was founded over a century ago by Abel Rossignol and has since become one of the most respected and recognizable names in the ski industry. I was impressed by the company's commitment to innovation and quality, and I know that their customers share that same passion for excellence. As you get more involved in the apres ski scene, you’ll find a large number of people who pride themselves in living the brand.
As the event got underway, I set up my DJ booth and began playing some upbeat music to create a lively and energetic atmosphere. Customers began to trickle in, browsing through the racks of ski equipment and apparel while enjoying the tunes. Because of the nature of the event, I called a colleague by the name of Brady to help me set up and DJ this event. The musical focus was Euro-house with a mix of 2010’s house music, top 40 remixes, redrums, and tech house edits.
Rossignol is clearly passionate about skiing and creating the best experience for their outdoor customers as they walk through the store. Throughout the event, we had multiple customers approach us and ask for the names of tracks because they were enjoying the vibes so much.

To give you a little insight into our services for this event, we provided a DJ booth and our controller along with two speaker towers that are clean and clear sounding to create an inviting atmosphere while not being intrusive. With their sleek design, we were able to place them in corners without having to move much of the merchandise in the store. As a bonus, they didn’t stick out like a sore thumb as many DJ speakers do. We also added two speakers beyond the main system to fill in the space more fully. This made it so we didn’t have to play the main speakers overly loud to get an even spread and create the correct ambiance. The store is a little tricky to get to because the street is a short distance from the store, but Pendry does have a few options to get the gear there. Because our system is modular, we were able to have it up within 45 minutes from the time we arrived. For an event like this, we usually tag team the set up and take down along with having one performer. Because of the complexity of this weekend, I DJed two hours while Brady DJed two hours.
