BeatBus Utah – What’s The Hype?

One of the unique things about my job is working with a large network of professionals throughout the entertainment industry. Back in 2020, when the pandemic first came around, a friend of mine by the name of Brady Mac created a mobile DJ booth called BeatBus. As the industry was turned upside down by the restrictions of Covid, Brady took it upon himself to be part of the solution by creating a way to party while staying at a distance. Thus, BeatBus was born.
What is the BeatBus?
BeatBus is a school bus that was designed to be a mobile DJ booth with a dedicated spot for a DJ at the top. It has a full sound system designed and built right into the bus. The sound system is on both sides of the bus, allowing everyone to hear music and announcements. Together, all of these parts create the ultimate in usability for medium events that require a sound system and DJ service.
What are some events the Beat Bus has been used for?
Social distancing events (back in 2019-2020), school field days, dance parties, parades, social gatherings, private events, fitness classes, city events, grand openings, fun runs, and, most oftenly, employee appreciation events.
What I personally think makes the bus awesome is that the bus already serves as a symbol in most communities – in my eyes, it creates a very family-friendly atmosphere! Adding a sound system and DJ to the top of the bus creates a very unique impression on folks when they see it!
Now, over the years I’ve hired the beat bus myself to use for many of my DJ Events. On the opposite side of the coin, Brady has hired me to DJ many events on the BeatBus for him! Below is a short description and some photos from the vast array of events I’ve been a part of with the bus.
High School Age Dance
Back in 2020 I hosted a series of high school parties. At one of these parties, I used the Beat Bus as my DJ booth and placed a large truss structure around the perimeter to create a festival-like lighting rig!
Fun Run with Millcreek City
Brady and the Beat Bus work with Millcreek City for many of their community outreach events. On this occasion, I was asked to DJ for the Fun Run the city hosts at the beginning of the summer. We had runners and walkers of all ages along with a few vendors on site showcasing their products.
Elementary School Field Day
In 2020, I was hired by a PTA group in Cache Valley for the school’s field day. I took the bus and parked it on the side of the field and DJed for 5 hours! This event involved 4 different grades coming outside to enjoy a few games with a dance party involving throwing chalk.
Summer Pool Party
In Spring of 2023 Brady @ BeatBusUtah hired me to DJ Pleasant Grove’s pool party.
Fireworks – Employee Appreciation Event | Dentalqore
Brady @ BeatBus and his team have been working with Dentalqore for a few years and in 2023 I was asked to DJ the event. I even provided a little more sound system reinforcement for this larger event!
